Laura Guinot will attend the Gender and the book trades conference in June 2021.
Laura Guinot will present “Women strategies and family dynamics: The Duchess of Almodóvar and her books”, which aims to analyse feminine active participation in the development of familiar strategies of book distribution, protection and circulation. In order to do that, the author focuses on Hispanic territories and on two important Spanish noblewomen from late 18th century: María Josefa Monserrat y Acuña, Duchess of Almodóvar, and her niece Josefa Dominga Catalá de Valeriola, the future Duchess of Almodóvar.
